Onshore Export Cable Supply Site Manager - External Contractor

Oversee cable Termination and Jointing process throughout the cable route and Onshore Substation for all joint bays, ODSE and GIS termination from the 220kV through to the 400kV connection in National Grid. Attend, where necessary factory acceptance testing, Identify, understand and manage interfaces for the electrical works towards other package managers and suppliers working in close coordination with the rest of the team. Compliant monitoring and deployment of all onshore cable systems including document review to lessons learnt, key milestone awareness and discussions, providing and monitoring contract programme and lead health and safety with the team. Identify, discuss and provide information /assets to the OFTO process.

Onshore Export Cable Installation Manager - External Contractor

Oversee cable duct including Horizontal Directional Drilling operations, including consents and agreements for environmentally sensitive Internal Drainage Board waterways and road crossings. Identify, understand and manage interfaces for the electrical works towards other package managers and suppliers working in close coordination with the rest of the team. Compliant monitoring and deployment of all onshore cable installation systems including document review to lessons learnt, lead procurement, variation negotiations, key milestone awareness and discussions, providing and monitoring contract programme and lead health and safety with the team. Identify, discuss and provide information /assets to the OFTO process. Manage replacement 400kV Harmonic Filter cable after sheath fault was discovered, coordinate replacement ODSE and GIS termination taking place in an energised substation while appreciating ‘Safety from the System Rules’.

Involved with tender process negotiations helping to ensuring best contractor both technically and commercially successfully awarded the contract. Oversee cable duct including Horizontal Directional Drilling operations, including consents and agreements for environmentally sensitive Internal Drainage Board waterways and road crossings. Identify, understand and manage interfaces for the electrical works towards other package managers and suppliers working in close coordination with the rest of the team. Compliant monitoring and deployment of all onshore cable installation systems including document review to lessons learnt, lead procurement, variation negotiations, key milestone selection, providing and monitoring contract programme and lead health and safety. Identify discuss and provide information /assets to the OFTO process. Monitor MV/HV cable installation on the offshore platform while under construction in Antwerp to ensuring the best cable installation techniques are used throughout the process. Manage HV cable testing for onshore cable route, offshore substation and onshore substation for both 220kV and 400kV systems.
